Hi Danny and Lee,

Matt and I had a great time at the lodge this past weekend and between us managed to land 18 nice bull trout and one steelhead.  Great late winter fishing!!  Adrian was a fantastic coach for Matt’s first fly fishing adventure and had him casting across Blue Creek within a few hours.  He also taught me how to correctly fish for bull trout and steelhead.  Adrian never gets excited does he! LOL!! The rafting trip with Danny was a nice way to relax and learn more about the valley between fishing spells, the scenery and river are so beautiful along the way.  Nick was also such an interesting guy and had so much information on the area to share with us.

Lee, you have to start supplying more of your wonderful food, I only put on 5 lb. in 3 days!!  The lodge and accommodations were first rate and the company was very good.

A busy weekend..guests from Georgia, Seattle and two local guys enjoyed some great weather..lots of bulls and a steelhead made it worth it!

Weather has been beautiful with no rain..we do need a bit though to bring the river up..it is clear and low at the moment..

First cast and Felix caught a 3 lb rainbow and the second cast with a Gorman Egg this big buck showed up for the party…he exploded out of the river and swam up then down river..Felix was yelling “Steelhead!” Steelhead!” and Dan running with the camera..I would say it was worth it..

You help me introduce fishing to my wife to fishing, at 42 years-of-age; she absolutely loves it!  Despite a fair bit of rain, she was eager to go back out with the “die-hards”  and did not miss even one of our excursions during our stay.

The best metric for me? She brought 3 novels to read and never actually cracked the books!

My thanks as well for the spirited game of “CRUD,” Lee’s amazing home-cooked meals and your genuine hospitality.

Also in Oct Lucy spent a day on the river and caught a nice coho with Dan guiding.

Bryan and his friends from Vancouver have been coming in to fish the Pitt since the early 90′s, the same group of friends get together every year for some coho fishing, hiking and Danny’s great cooking!

A highlight of 2012 was being invited by Willie Mitchel to the Stanley Cup party at the Georgia Hotel..and then Dan went on to Port Hardy to continue the celebration!  How nice was that!

In November we enjoyed some down time in Havana where we finally had some sunshine, relaxation and some bone fishing..

We are back at the lodge getting ready for the upcoming season and would like to welcome you to join us for another great season,  2013!

Wow! We can hardly believe that September is over and what a month we had!  Willie and Meagan Mitchell came for a visit with friends to enjoy some downtown after his exciting NHL Stanley Cup Win!! They enjoyed the beautiful weather and scenery and got in some fishing..

Next was Team Crud! Peter Kaal of Vancouver is the luckiest man…a day after his wedding to Mimi, he and their close friends came in for some fishing before the actual honeymoon!  We will have to have the championships next year for the highly competitive pool table game..Dan needs a handy cap of some kind!

We are now into October and it will be another busy month..we hope to see you on the river!

It is hard to believe that there is just one more week left in August! It is that time of year to start thinking about the fall coho and trout fisheries and they are predicting a huge coho run this year so don’t miss out. We have a few spots left for Sept so email soon if you want your spot on the river.
